Barn conversions
in Yeovil & Somerset

Agricultural buildings converted into beautiful homes. Original timbers retained, stone repaired, modern insulation and services slipped in so the character never gets lost.

Everything covered under barn conversions

Structural Works

Careful under-pinning, steel inserts, new roof structures. Done without scarring the original fabric.

Insulation & Heating

Warm-roof build-ups, insulated slabs, MVHR and underfloor heating. Comfortable year-round in buildings originally meant for hay.

Stone & Timber Repair

Lime pointing, stone piecing-in, timber frame repair. Sensitive to both the building and any conservation-officer requirements.

Modern Glazing

Large sliders and rooflights dropped into stonework without destroying the elevation. All heritage detailing preserved.

Common questions

Will planning permission be a problem?
Permitted Development rights exist for many agricultural-to-residential conversions. We work with planning consultants where Class Q or Class R applications are needed.
How long does a barn conversion take?
Typically 6 to 10 months depending on size, condition of the original building, and the finish specification.
Can you match original materials?
Yes — we source reclaimed stone, slate and timber where possible. Modern replacements used only where the original is beyond saving.
Do you work with conservation officers?
Yes, we are used to dealing with Listed Building Consent and conservation-area requirements. We meet officers on site before we break ground.
